Based on a US-design and customised to meet Australian local airline requirements, this crate will be accepted by Virgin Blue and Qantas flights (Tiger doesn't allows pets, except for a guide dog):

It's light weight design also makes it an excellent crate for car trips, dog shows, as well as be used as a portable kennel or bed at home.
